“You are who you are. All you can do in this world is help others to be who they are and better themselves and those around them.”
Those words (a tweet, actually) were some of the last that Elizabeth Taylor, the beautiful and talented Oscar-winning actress and arguably, the last great star, posted before her death this past Wednesday.
And I love those words. How appropriate that this amazing legend and well-known philanthropist would leave us with that lasting and generous impression of her, and impart such insight to all of us left behind:
First, to accept yourself for who you are. And then, to encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves, too. Because, like I’ve said before, we are all meant to shine.
RIP Elizabeth Taylor, an amazing beauty both inside and out. What a beautiful and loving life you lived.
