Over the weekend, I had brunch with dear friends in Long Beach at Coffee Cup Café (http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-coffee-cup-cafe-long-beach), a delicious diner and reputably one of the best of Long Beach. I love to eat there because not only is the food delicious, it’s a good halfway meeting place for me, an Orange County resident, and my Los Angeleno comrades. An even added bonus, one of my best girlfriends lives right around the block, so it’s easy to meet up with her, too!
After our fun brunch to celebrate birthdays and my friend Jeff’s completion of his 9th marathon, my friend Leigh Ann and I dropped by the cute boutique next door, Twig & Willow (www.twigandwillow.com). See the photos below, but I knew as soon as I stepped into the shop, that it would be one of my go-to Long Beach shopping destinations. Featuring “comfy-chic” clothing, uniquely creative and handmade gifts, jewelry, apothecary products and baby things, it had such a sunny and vibrant energy about it (see quote below, which I love, at their check out area). Twig & Willow channels that Anthropologie vibe but in a quainter and more original way.
The salesperson was so lovely and informed me that a lot of the items in their store are uniquely theirs, including handbags and jewelry lines from local designers.
It truly is the perfect place to shop if you are looking for interesting and unique clothing, gifts, fragrances and accessories – for yourself or a friend.
