OK, nail fans! I am loving the wild and fun nails that are everywhere! First of all, bright solids are so in right now – think hot pink, blue, yellow, orange – all of your fun, primary colors, brightened up. They’re just perfect for both nails and toes. But other than that, and maybe it’s the Minx craze that started it, but I have noticed so many cool patterns on nails lately.
In fact, my very discriminating and fashionable friend Anne was sporting some gorgeous nails the last time I saw her. Nope! It’s not just the boring, tried and true Essie Ballet Slippers anymore. We were having a girls’ get-together birthday lunch at a swanky Newport Beach restaurant, and not only was Anne sporting these funky lace nails, but lo and behold, our super cute cocktail waitress was also sporting the same cool nail pattern. She was raving that hers had been on for weeks, and given that she’s a surfer, that was quite a feat.
So, what were they both using? Sally Hansen Salon Effects!(http://www.sallyhansen.com/products/nails/nail-color/salon-effects-real-nail-polish-strips) Salon Effects are nail strips, but made from real nail polish. They’re so easy to use – just peel and apply and file to fit your nail bed. There are 30 fashion-forward styles, including lace, glitter, denim, and houndstooth patterns. Each kit comes with 16 nail polish strips, cuticle sticks, a mini file and buffer. When you want to remove them, just use nail polish remover. The best part – it does not contain DPB, Toluene or Formaldehyde. I cannot wait to try some styles on. Personally, I like the pattern “Misbehaved”! A total steal at $9.99 per kit.
All the fun Sally Hansen Salon Effects styles.

If you don’t want to sport patterns, you can still tempt the wild side with brights, like the latest Essie Brazilliant collection.
