Handbag Heaven: I’m Collaborating with Handbago!

At the Elle and Blair Cellairis launch event last August, I met the sweetest and cutest woman, Michelle, from Handbago. After exchanging a few twitter e-mails back and forth, we are now collaborating! I’ll be a guest blogger on Handbago from time to time, but I’ll also spread the word about Handbago here, too… because who doesn’t love a good handbag?

What is Handbago? It is an online marketplace for designer handbags, purses and bags. Fans can shop designer handbag collections, partake in handbag sales, win free handbags and read the handbag blog and get handbag reviews. It’s literally the inside scoop on the best and latest when it comes to our purses, clutches, and wallets.

They have a bunch of beautiful brands with a list of over 600 designers, including the tried and true “it” bags such as Hermes, Chanel, Chloe, Balenciaga, and Marc Jacobs. But, they also have a bunch of up and coming designers, so I love getting the first scoop on what’s hot!

One of their featured brands is JALDA (www.jaldastyle.com). JALDA (pronounced YAL-DA) handbags are designed by Dutch designer Jalda Hoff, and are handmade in Los Angeles out of the finest and most unique Italian leathers and hardware. I was actually (physically) introduced to Jalda a few years ago with my dear friend Leigh when we attended her sample sale with our mutual friend Jen, who is a dear friend of Jalda’s. Small world, right?

The philosophy behind every JALDA product is that every practical object can and should be an object of desire. Each JALDA bag is unique and contemporary, but at the same time very easy to wear and timeless. Celebrity fans of JALDA handbags and clutches include Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Sarah Jessica Parker, Debra Messing, Nicollette Sheridan, Anne Heche, Mariska Hargitay, Madonna, Angie Harmon, Christina Aguilera, and Milla Jovovich.

Anyway, you can find a nice selection of Jalda handbags on Handbago (although unfortunately they are currently out of stock). My favorite Jalda bag they’re featuring this season: The Lamb Julie Clutch for $315. Cute, right?

Clearly, Handbago has the inside scoop on bags, and I’ll try my best to keep you abreast of what they are in future posts to come so stay tuned!

Me with my Jalda bag! I love it – It’s so precious!

Close-up photos of my darling Jalda bag. Gorgeous and made of oh, so soft Italian leather!

The beautiful Jalda bag currently on the Handbago site – The Jalda Lamb Julie Clutch – a scrumptuous Italian lamb leather clutch in pewter. GORGEOUS!
