#RideForPhilippines

First things first, a little background…

My dear friend Gail is moving from LA up north to the Paso Robles area because her hubby Jim, who is head brewer at Cismontane Beer, is moving for his company.

In order to:

1) Say goodbye and good luck

2) Wish her a happy birthday

3) Just plain hang out with her before she moves up north…

I had to sweat and work out!

Of course, it was all for a good cause.

Gail’s family’s jewelry line, Cayetano Legacy Collection (www.cayetanolegacy.com) partnered with SoulCycle (www.soul-cycle.com) to raise funds for Tacloban, the area in the Philippines hardest hit by Typhoon Haiyan. Sadly, it’s a year later and over 50% of residents are still homeless and in need of resources.

So, I geared up, paid, and took a 45-minute SoulCycle class with Josh our instructor. It was awesome! I sweat my buns off and it was the perfect fun, high energy workout. Best of all, all proceeds (+ the purchase of the VIP gift bag) went to benefit Tacloban.

Check out some pics I took, and a few things from my sweet SWAG bag. I love my new workout apparel, courtesy of Under Armour, who donated these cool duds to all who worked out ($60 value). Plus, a HUGE shoutout to Zico Coconut Water. After the workout, I downed their chocolate flavored coconut water, and it was seriously the best thing I’ve tasted.

Finally, I had to buy some jewelry! Here’s the latest piece in my necklace collection. Beautiful, right? I can’t wait for it to arrive so I can wear it! http://www.cayetanolegacy.com/product/florence-quartz/

Good luck, Gail, and hope to see you in the wine (and beer) region sometime soon. XO
